GORI Notes

Film Threat named "Getting Out of Rhode Island" the "Best Unseen Film of 2002!"

"Getting Out of Rhode Island" was also a Finalist for Best Feature at this year's DIY ("Do It Yourself") Film Festival in Los Angeles.

"Getting Out of Rhode Island" is a clever improvised exhibition of the best that digital filmmaking has to offer. Shot with multiple cameras, weaving multiple points of view, the film takes a viewer on a trip where "Celebration" meets "The Party." Hopefully, the filmmakers won't get out of Rhode Island too soon, and continue to plumb worlds that are outside of Hollywood"

—Rich Martini, Film Director and Programmer of DIY Film Festival

"Getting Out Of Rhode Island" is a good example of the possibilities of improv's future in creating feature-length films."

—Jonathon Pitts, Director of Chicago Improv Festival
